I think you'll find that Holiday Extras use Relyon Cruise Parking which is two and a half miles away from the cruise terminal. Transfer to the terminal is by shuttle bus. I think that's probably the reason why it's cheaper. As Miller has already said, if you book direct with the Port of Dover authority, the car park is within walking distance to the check in. A word of warning, if you should park undercover check for nesting pigeons, on my return the car was splattered all over! Enjoy the cruise. Jan .
I usually park at Dover but book direct with Port of Dover. Their parking is very close to the terminal and some is under cover. You deliver your luggage to a collecting point and then it is a leisurely stroll to the check in. I feel confident that Holiday Extras will use the same facilities but you should check with them. Happy cruising.
Thank you very much for your input, re: Dover car parking. However I did forget to mention that Holiday Extras parking is almost half the price of "Port of Dover".Hence my original question.Cheers .
Thank you both, Stone of Oxford and Miller of Hamstreet. it is obvious from your comments that it's worth paying the extra at Port of Dover.Much appreciated.
