I was told that nearly all the cabins on the outside are L shaped which means you would be unable to push them together.

They are all l shaped. why would you want to push them together you will be on holiday no time for that.

Not only are the beds in L shape, so cannot be made into a double, but one (below the window) is normal size whilst the other is very narrow.
