We have sailed on the Spirit and unfortunately they do not have kettles in the cabins. Please don't think that your holiday will be spoilt by talk of vibration, I'm sure you will have a great time.. we did!!

Travel kettles come into the same catagory as travel irons. Cruise lines frown on any such items being used in the cabins as they have heating elements that could overheat and cause a fire if faulty and left unattended. Any items placed by the cruise lines themselves in cabins have to be inspected at regular intervals by qualified personnel. The item that you bring onboard would obviously escape this check. I hope you understand?

Thanks for the advice - I certainly don't want to compromise the ship's safety, so will be leaving the travel kettle at home. We'll probably make use of the room service facility,as I don't want to be flitting to the restaurant in my nightie for my early morning cuppa !

To avoid vibration book a cabin nearer the front than the back....we did use a kettle on one trip which we kept in the wardrobe when not in use!!! but it really is not necessary as there is free tea and coffee available 24 hours a day from the buffet which you can take to the cabin if necessary.....so we don't bother any more!

No fly cruises have now become so popular. Each year, as the number of people taking cruise holidays increases, so too does the number who want to cruise, but dont want to fly. There are many reasons why people prefer no fly cruises. Here are just 10 of the more popular reasons.(1) We live on an island! No matter where you live, youre probably closer to the sea than you realised. So, its probably just as easy to get to any of the major cruise ports as it would be to get to an airport. Cruise...

Amazed by Symphony Part 1

My husband and i have recently returned from a cruise on Symphony of the Seas to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary and without a doubt it was one of the best cruises we have done. We arrived in Barcelona on 27th April and had one night at the Onix Liceo Hotel which is centrally located about half way down Las Ramblas on a side street, and is a great location for a pre cruise stay if you are looking for something central. We took a taxi to the port the following morning where the check i...
