Why haven't you been given a room #? Is it a guarentee cabin - if so that means you will get any balcony on the ship and cannot dictate location near lifts (not near lifts etc). E3 is the lead in balcony price - the majority of those on deck 7 are classed as having a minor OBV- it is just the awnings that cover the lifeboats which stick out about 10ft - it is below feet level and personally I wouldn't even class it as an OBV myself.

Neil & Ida Down - Answered a Question by salmon (03 Nov 08 15:02)

Most of the cabins on Jewel are the same size and perfectly adequate, I also agree with all that A of N says. If you go to the Royal Caribbean Cruises web-site you will be able to see the cabin and the general layout. If you are worried I would stop because there are very few complaints about cabins on Radiance Class ships. .... Neil.

If you want to know what to do in each port please go to this site that I direct every one to - go to google and type 'cruise ports call boards' - click on the the first result will give you all the info under the appropriate PORTS section on the page under Europe. Once you sign up you can search within each specific category. As you are going to St P I cannot recommend using a private tour guide enough instead of 'following the lollypop'. Personally I used alla-tour.com and cannot recommend her highly enough. $225pp for 2-full days of private tours with just 9 others, early entry into Hermitage, lunch at Stolle, private airconditioned Mercedes van - it was fantastic!

Unless you purchased a cabin on a 'guarantee only' basis you do not get 'given' a cabin, you 'choose' a cabin in consultation with your travel agent & the deck plan. If this was not the case I suggest you look for a new agent for your next cruise. ......Wilba .
