Brilliance of the Seas

OVERVIEW: This ship was constructed for longer itineraries, with more space and comfortable public areas, larger cabins and more dining options. For the more sporting, youthful passengers, there is activity galore – including a 30-ft (9-m) rock-climbing wall with five separate climbing tracks.

Star Flyer

OVERVIEW: The first clipper sailing ship to be built for 140 years,Star Flyerbecame the first commercial sailing vessel in 90 years to cross the North Atlantic. It suits those who would never consider a ‘normal’ cruise ship.

By Hill, Birmingham on 22nd Jul 2014
After a few years of recommendations from friends,I finally persuaded my wife to try a cruise.I had heard that it can sometimes be a bit rough when leaving Southampton, so decided to try a short fly cruise. Royal Caribbean had the ideal one, a 4 night cruise...  Read More >>

Not as expected
Royal Caribbean  / Liberty of the Seas /
MEDITERRANEAN

This was our 5th cruise and 2nd on RCL. We dined in the main restaurant every night and were seated with a Norwegian family who spoke very little English. It would have been nice to have sat with people with whom we could have had a conversation with!...  Read More >>

Just came home from the Liberty yesterday. Hairdryer, perfectly adequate is in the little top drawer to the right of the dressing table. Safe in the wardrobe. Take your own toileteries, apart from soap for the sink. Towels for the pool, you collect them from the pool's towel station. They swipe your card and you can take at least 2 each, but remember to hand them back in at end of your last day, so that you do not incur a charge on your seapass card at he end of the cruise. These towels can be exchanged for clean ones at any time. No tea or coffee makers in the cabin. If you can't wait until you get to promanade cafe or the Windjammer self service, then can order via room service. We found storage to be good, plenty of space, including a small cupboard behind the side mirrow in the bathroom. Beds very comfy. We enjoyed the Liberty and our week onboard, though, with only 1 sea day it was a very hectic week. If you would like to know anything else, please just ask. Enjoy your cruise.

Just following on from Wilba's toiletries:

RCI do not provide very good shampoo/showergel unless you are in a Junior Suite upwards. So if you like your own better products take yours but remember if you are flying to put it in your hold luggage not carry-on. The soap is OK ish. ....Neil
