Thanks to everyone who answered - all very helpful, especially the bit about the smokers. And thank you 'Hill, North Warnborough'- it's a partially obstructed view. Happy cruising to us all.

Have stayed in the very last cabin on that deck. Usually there are chairs, but if not, your steward will do this for you. Also there is a Glass staircase, by the rear door, which goes down into the large lounge. bar open all day for drinks, Very handy.

Hi! Yep, the promenade deck does have seats and I think you've made a good choice of cabin. My wife and I enjoy the promenade deck (although we don't book cabins with obstructed views). Bon Voyage!

We were in P356 on Artemis and loved it on Norweigan Fjiord cruise so easy to get outside, but be warned do draw the curtains if you put the cabin lights on because then you can see in from the outside!!

Regret to tell you that if you have booked a cabin "with restricted view" on Artemis you will NOT be on the Promenade Deck. The Prom Deck is on deck 4 and does,in fact, have seating all around. I presume you must be on either B or C Deck. Hope this information is of help.

These cabins are identical to others on that deck- the obstruction is the enclosed rail and some small liferafts. the glass is one way, but you can be seen at night when lights are on. one problem, if you are not smokers, you may hate the fact that seats outside your cabin are alwys occupied, from earlymorning, by the smokers- my answer has been to go out and shift the standard ashtrays away from under my window enjoy, Artemis is a lovely old style ship, if a bit dated.

We had an obstructed view, yes there are chairs on promenade deck, but i would not recommend this ship to any one, when we was on it in2007 it shuddered all round the med, not a good experience, we asked to be moved, but they wanted extra money to move us, not very helpful, the ship is very old launched in 1984, and is past it's sell by date, not as good as the american cruisers.
