Neil & Ida Down - Answered a Question by HUMPHREYS (05 Feb 09 18:13)

As I remember it there are no balconies on A Deck but there is always quite a lot of noise very early morning and late evening when the deck chairs are cleaned and moved around. It's a while now since I was on her so perhaps someone will back me up or say "rubbish". ........Neil.

Low - Answered a Question by HUMPHREYS (05 Feb 09 18:13)

I had an A deck cabin which was under wooden decking & found it quite noisy at times. -There are no balcony cabins on A deck on Oriana, only on B deck. Since that experience, when booking, I always get something with passengers above & below. Lots of other passengers are quite happy so perhaps I am just more critical of noise. Otherwise I did enjoy Oriana, though that was some time ago. Have fun.

Think we're also critical of noise. Booked so last minute no cabin number assigned at booking, just guaranteed standard of cabin. TA tells us we've been upgraded and we should be pleased. Definitely would not have gone for A deck if I'd had choice. Like you would go for deck where only cabins above and below.
