I have cruised on this ship before it was renamed the Ocean Village. My children were very young and we had no problems with the upper berths. The safety bar was approx. 18 inches; you will have more of a problem with him hitting his head than falling out!! Don't worry.

If your new to cruising your concerns are understandable, but Ocean Village has been cruising for nearly 22 years under various names. If kids were falling out of top bunks there would be law suits stretching from here to the moon, so stop worrying & look forward to enjoying your cruise....Regards Wilba.
