Hi, we did ocean village with restricted view. There was enough daylight but the only problem was the staff checking out the lifeboat you could see the men through the window so they must have seen us as well and the noise when they lowered/lifted the boat. On one occasion they woke us up at the crack of dawn. We might just have been unlucky though to have a lifeboat that seemed to require a lot of attention.

Don't be too sure of no view. Cruise critic has there own site for OV2 also facebook has recently started our own OV site and we have loads of photos and videos. Aplmac who started this site stayed in a 'restricted view' cabin in Jan 2008 and has put a few pics of his cabin on facebook so have a look before you discount it. Regards Su.

You don't give the cabin number but we have had C148 and C149 in the past and you get a very good view out. C146 and 7 should also be quite good.as in all cases there are no lifeboats blocking the view. You could also be inbetween boats but thats the luck of the draw. Either way the outside light is always nice even if limited. In any case you should be out of your cabin enjoying yourselves, we certainly did.

Thanks to all for replying, you were most helpful. We are in C148 and our friends are in C146. It seems we will have plenty of light, which was our main concern. Any views will be a bonus. Actually we were amazed that these were the only cabins left...with only three inside ones left too! [For September that is].
