Aldrich - Answered a Question by Williams (25 Aug 08 17:25)

I always guide my clients to never book the CC rooms on deck 9 - [a] because of the ghastly overhang that blocks the sun and [b] because of the glass porthole that is in the floor of the sky cafe which means that those in the cafe can look through the floor, and if they want, can see you on your balcony!!! No noise as the cafe is carpeted. Personally I would move, but you may like the overhang to protect you from the sun.....wait a min - you are going to the Baltics so I don't think the sun will be a problem!!!

We are thinking about booking a stateroom on Deck 9 as we want a balcony and CC. Can you advise exactly which staterooms are affected by these issues.

As we only booked this last week (for next year) would we have a problem if we requested a change of cabin?

No, your t/a should change it to what ever new room you want.

I have never had a real problem with noise in that area but it is true you can be overlooked from the Hair Salon "sticky out bits" ( technical term you know) so wouldn't advise sunbathing au naturelle. You could loose a lot sunshine the way back because you’re on the north side then but not on the way out....Neil.

Hawaii FIVE O!!!!!

By Drew Lazarus

Hey! Back again with some more world cruise ports and pics! I think the shot above (the whale breaching the ocean) says it all. So whilst on tender duty in Lahaina , assisting passengers get ashore, I was fortunate enough to witness this through a tender boat window. I still look at the picture and think WOW!!! This was of course the high light of the day for me. There were a number of many different varieties of whales that were not shy and for want of a better word were parading around the...
