Windows or portholes don't generally open so if you need fresh air at night best to book a balcony and prop the door open a bit...which is what I do although it can be noisy with the sea and wind but I find it relaxing! Otherwise you will just be breathing the air conditioning air which can hardly be called 'fresh'!! Hope this helps.
