Just got back from a cruise on Norwegian Jade. We had a balcony cabin on dekc 9 certainly they have balc\onies above. Note.Beware of extras.!0% automatic service charge per person per day added to your bill. Ask on the last cruising day to have it removed, simply sign a form. In the Chinese,Japanese ,Suchi Bar,and French onn`t take the ships tours there expensive and ill organised, use local trains and buses.

Yes, we have just returned from a 13night Med cruise on the Norwegian Jade. I must say we were very dissappointed with the service and the overall feeling of the ship, it had been in dry dock since coming from Hiwai to update it, the decor etc was still in line for this area and was very brash, layout of the ship was not good... The 'Anytime dining' they have is not very well organized. food is badly served and variety is poor. You will get your meal but it could be ANYTIME. You wait ages to be served and the waiters/waitresses are not very effeciant or happy.....the dining rooms were chaotic at times to say the least, not at all relaxing place to eat.We feel that the reason for this is maybe to get you to eat in the Speciality resturants which you pay extra price. We have cruised many times before and must say this was not up to standards, we will not be going on NCL ships again.....Many passengers were not well pleased. We had a balcony on the 10th deck which was very nice albeit a bit small, the stewards were better than the serving staff....and don't forget they stop 10dollars aday each passenger for service charge.Hope they will have sorted out the problems by time you sail and have a great time.

We have just returned from cruising the Med. on this ship. There was very little we could find right with this ship, decor maybe, we feel sorry for any first time cruisers because this is not how cruising is. The entertainment and food was not up to scratch, but the main critisium was the staff. Compared to other cruises they didn't seem happy doing their job, they didn't mis with the clients there was no entertainment in the day time as is usual.

When is the best time to book a cruise?

By Collette Apak

It’s a question that I am asked many times.Last week I spoke to a customer who booked a cruise way back last Summer with Royal Caribbean to travel this year. They received an early booking discount from Royal Caribbean (plus free parking from ourselves) and were outraged when RCI decided to announce they were now including a deluxe drinks package PLUS the second passenger goes half price. When we added the cost of the drinks package on to the price they paid for their original cruise th...

Toddlers and pools on board

By Kerry James

Kerry James's blog

Choosing the right ship for any age is important, but even more so when picking one that is suitable for children, toddlers and babies. Older children may want the kids clubs, some are just happy with the pool, or some might want more adventurous activities like rock climbing, ice skating etc. But what about toddlers/infants?Some parents with children under 3 might not want to leave their children in the kids club all day, and actually just be happy with a pool that the child can use –...
