The quick answer is Yes. Type wine into the blue search box & this has been covered in grrr'eat detail..Wilba.
I sailed on the Navigator of the sea in 2007 and am also going on the Independence on 20th June (see you on the ship!) - £64 is neither here nor there - depending on what kind of wine you like obviously - my partner and I could get a nice bottle for the equivalent of around £10-12 so it works out the same - the ship also do better savings on wine packages when you board in Southampton - we are probably having one of theirs this time.
Your missing the point completely. Due to the drop in the dollar/pound what was good in 2007 is now irrelevant. Much has been asked & written about this, much by myself in the last week & I suggest you read as per my earlier response if you want to save yourself a whole load of money on the wine packages in June....Wilba.
Sorry I cant find your earlier answers re saving money on drinks, how do I search them.
Sorry but RCI closed the door on this around the 15th Jan. It's now too late I'm afraid.....Wilba.
Read the answers to the Question posed by Monks on 6th Jan - Thsi hs all info you need.
We were on the Independanced of the Seas in October . Superb ship, good food and plenty of room. However it was spolit a bit by the high cost of the drinks which will be worse now with the value of the dollar increasing. Beer in the pub was very expensive, too expensive for us to drink.
Wine was very costly at the table went without. What is not too well known is that you are not allowed to take any drink on board at all. If you buy cheap drinks at a resort where you stop is is kept for you and given back just before you disembark on the last day. Staff great.
