Last year on jewel of the seas we spent about £12 per person per day for four of us with two bottles of wine between us each night and a couple of cocktails each day. Dollar rate was good then though and we bought a wine package.

Hi, Just got back from med cruise on IOS... Bottle of Bud (1 pint bottle) $5.50, most other lagers are a similar prices but in smaller bottles. Pint of Heineken was $5.70. We had a bottle of wine most nights with dinner which was about $24.00 per bottle. Our total bill after 2 weeks was around $700 (just under 500 quid i think) for two of us but that included a few extra things like shuttle buses, johnny rockets etc. Hope this is the info you were after.

Just got back from a RCI cruise and yes, drinks are expensive. I only spent £80 though because I chose to have iced water and soft drinks. You could go on this cruise and not spend any money if you did not want to - it really is up to you. We enjoyed having a few drinks when we were off the ship and that saved some money too. I'm not mean, but I object so strongly to paying these prices that I prefer not to drink. Have a great time.

Whoever told you that must have been drunk, or had money to burn. Stick to a budget and try not to go over it.

No I'm not an Alcoholic, & I'm not a tight fisted whinger either who gets paranoid every time 15% is mentioned. If you consider 60 quid a day between two people, £30 each, when a bottle of wine alone is about twenty quid & a cocktail cost a fiver it soon mounts up. So InaBox or ever you normally call yourself, Shove it!!

Anyone reading the above may wonder if Wilba has suddenly flipped, but a post written by InaBox made a damning accusation about me which I found totally objectionable. After reporting the matter to cruise dot, the post was immediately removed to which I thank them for. I don’t mind taking the flack from anyone when it’s due, but an accusation of that nature was completely out of order……Wilba

We spent £400 in total on Solstice on drinks/photo's/hairdressers etc so not bad for a fortnight but we did have a $102 fuel credit over and above, but we don't all drink like fish.....Bill
