They do state in their cabin info that they will take bottles off you and keep them till the last day of your trip but other than entering the port at palma on day one our bags were never searched.

Sometimes you get stopped at ports and have to put hand bags and goods on belt to check its achance you take at the port of palma they have duty free shop not very big but you can go into palma the day you arrive get bus just outside port or it depends what time you get your flight at we were lucky we got on ship at lunch time midday our flight was at 7 oclock in morning from glasgow you must be on ship 1hour before you sail also once you board you go off ship you dont go up same gang way you got on ship its the other side walk way its stairs you go up when you first board you will enjoy your cruiseif you do get stopped going on ship with drink they will take it off you and get it back night beforeyou disembark.

We did a three week cruise on this ship and we never had our bags checked. if you buy spirits in the onboard shop they keep them till your last day on board.

We have been on the Island Escape Nov 07 and never had our bags searched. Most cruise lines will keep any bottles till the end of your trip if they find it.

When we went with Island Cruises we often brought a couple of bottles of wine at the duty free shops and took them on board - didn't know you weren't allowed! On the last day we had a long wait on board and made several excursions to the duty free shop as we didn't have any British money to buy drinks on board and the staff even supplied us with ice buckets to keep the drinks cold.

Dont miss your ship.

By Dawn Gardener

For some reason, there seems to be more and more stories of cruise guests missing their ship when in port. I am on several cruise pages via Facebook and have heard this a lot recently where guests comment on how the ship departed leaving guests on shore because they didn’t get back in time. Last year there was the famous you tube video going around of the couple that left their kids on the ship whilst they went on shore and then missed it as it departed from Nassua with her screami...

If Carlsberg did Cruises!

By Dani Turner-Jenkins

Dani Turner-Jenkins's blog

Happy Monday to everyone! You’ve all heard the saying from Carslberg, “If Carslberg Did………………” Well what if Carlsberg did cruises? Or if you could invent or design your ultimate cruise what would it be like?If I was given control or designing a cruise, my first priority would have to be a rugby pitch! Most cruises if not all have some form of sports court, such as Basketball, football, but what if they had a rugby pitch! Now rugby is...

Well I have just returned from my 5th visit to Eurodisney with my family . Yet again it didn’t disappoint. There was 11 of us in total and we stayed in the Dream Castle just outside the gates and it was great !! We were up at 6.30 every morning and in the parks by 9 am impressingly first in the queue to get in on some days. Even though it was February it was still busy so we needed to fast pass some of the ride which always comes in handy. We were very lucky as we had a few days of glori...
