Good question Matt. I'm amazed at the number of times they crop up. Most questions are about specific ships so we must assume they have already booked or are planning to. Will an answer make a difference?

I think people are reasonable asking prices since they may want to budget for it- nothing wrong with asking I say.

Richard Okill - Answered a Question by Matt (02 Apr 08 10:50)

Good question Matt. I'm always slightly amused by this line of question. Most questions refer to particular cruise ships. This implies the questioner has either already booked or is considering booking. Is it a cruise stopper if beer is £3.00 a pint and Gin £2.80 a shot when most cruisers are considering spending at minimum a couple of thousand pounds. Are they going to sit and not enjoy their dinner for the want of a glass of wine? I also don't think it is comparable to ships tours. The bars on board are all on the same price. Tours are either ship run or 'do it yourself'.

Like your answer Richard and if people do need to check the price of drinks I wish they'd look to see if their question has already been answered elsewhere on the board.

My very first taste of Royal

By Isabelle Larder

After 17 years in the travel industry last weekend saw me step on board a Royal Caribbean ship for the very first time and wow, what a difference it has made to my outlook on cruising. Had you asked me a month ago if it was worth paying that bit extra for Royal Caribbean I would have said a few hundred pounds possibly, a thousand or more no way. Ask me now and I would say absolutely. For families I have no doubt that Independence of the Seas should be on the top of the list for your next cruis...

SPECTACULAR CRUISING FROM YOUR...

By Wayne Frieslander

Wayne Frieslander's blog

No fly cruises have now become so popular. Each year, as the number of people taking cruise holidays increases, so too does the number who want to cruise, but dont want to fly. There are many reasons why people prefer no fly cruises. Here are just 10 of the more popular reasons.(1) We live on an island! No matter where you live, youre probably closer to the sea than you realised. So, its probably just as easy to get to any of the major cruise ports as it would be to get to an airport. Cruise...
