Disneyland Paris Halloween

I have recently returned from a short break to Disneyland Paris. The weather was fantastic, nice and warm for October. it was really magical to see how excited Charlie was when he got to meet all the different characters. We went a few years ago but this time was different as some of the park was decorated for Halloween and the parades had the characters dressed up in spooky costumes.

My main disappointment is that it really isn’t a patch on the ‘real Disney’ maybe just my opinion but the French staff didn’t do a great job of keeping the magic alive!! Not that Charlie noticed but myself and my mum have both taken a few holidays in Florida before and couldn’t help but compare the experience. The main difference was the service & attitude of staff when on the rides. Although we had a great experience and the queues were not too bad. The park was getting busier by Friday and Saturday morning was really busy. Luckily for us the half term in Scotland is the week before England.

If you are planning or already booked for Disneyland Paris I highly recommend taking the Half Board package. We took the Full Board Plus option which gave us vouchers to use in the park, Disney Village & hotels it worked out cheaper than paying on the day and also gave a free drink too. Be aware breakfast is a quick service option in the hotel or park . You get coffee, juice and pastry. Our favourite restaurant by far was Chez Remy in the Walt Disney Studios. As you enter you realise you have been downsized to the size of a rat!!! Its a great restaurant and the food was by far the best we had and you can use your half board plus vouchers too. We also tried the new Pirates of the Caribbean restaurant that was ok. A lovely setting but the menu options were not great.

Now for Japan! I am off on Saturday to Tokyo with work so be sure to pop by to find out how that goes.
