Fantastic New Programme For Princess In 2019

Princess Cruises have become the first major cruise line to announce their full programme for 2019. Sounds along way off as we haven`t finished with 2017 yet but in the world of cruising things happen earlier every year.

One of the most exciting new things is the news that there will be Princess ships sailing from the UK from mid April until the end of October. Crown Princess will sail out of Dublin from May until September and Dover will host Pacific Princess for the first time. Her journeys will take her to the increasingly popular Baltic, along with Iceland, the North Cape and a round Britain cruise to take in the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Sapphire Princess will again sail out of Southampton for the whole summer while Emerald and Regal will both be sailing in the Mediterranean.

The number of ships, and diversity of itineraries, will allow Princess to challenge Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and P&O to become the UK`s favourite cruise line sailing from UK ports.

A really good itinerary is the sailing on 14th September to Canada and New England when  Sapphire Princess starts her 24 night voyage from Southampton. First port of call is St. John`s Newfoundland followed by Sydney Nova Scotia, Charlottetown and then New York for an overnight stay. The ship will then sail back up the US coast to Newport, Boston, Rockland, Saint John and Halifax before heading back to Southampton. This voyage has only been done by P&O or Cunard in previous years.

Princess are one of my favourite cruise lines, and for people who don`t want the 99% British atmosphere of P&O or the formality of Cunard, they are the perfect alternative. The atmosphere on board is what I would describe as ” smart casual”. Lovely ships with lots of choices of good restaurants, excellent food and staff to match. Diamond Princess is my personal favourite but she is now mainly based in Asia but Sapphire is her sister ship so should be equally as good.

Some of these sailing will be very popular so have a look over the holiday and decide if any are for you.

To finish I`ll just say a very happy Christmas  and New Year to all my clients old and new. Looking forward to speaking o you in January.
