Royal Release New Ship Details

If you’ve been waiting for Royal Caribbean to unveil the name of its new Oasis-class vessel you’ll be pleased to discover that the wait is over. The line has revealed that the third ship to join the Oasis fleet will be called Harmony of the Seas. (We reported this rumour a week or two ago here)

The vessel will be sister to Royal Caribbean’s existing ships, Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas. Although details of its features have not fully been disclosed, it is said that it will share similarities with these vessels whilst also incorporating its own unique, on-board facilities.

With a 6,360-passenger capacity and registering at 227,000 GRT, Harmony of the Seas will officially serve as the world’s largest cruise ship.

Exciting amenities onboard the popular Allure of the Seas vessel include a zip line elevated nine decks above the boardwalk, a tropical garden featuring cafes and bistros, and an Aqua Theatre that showcases breathtaking acrobatics performances and Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas ship is just as exciting. This vessel features a plethora of amenities, such as a comedy lounge, beauty salon, nightclub, and Dreamworks Experience whereby popular Dreamworks films are shown on a giant screen in 3D.

Harmony of the Seas is currently under construction at the STX shipyard in St Nazaire, France and is scheduled to be completed in April 2016.

What do you think of the name Harmony of the Seas? Which amenities do you hope to see onboard?
