Princess Cruises has just revealed that the popular ITV documentary, The Cruise, will return to fans’ screens at 8.30pm on Thursday January 11th.
The six-part documentary, set onboard Royal Princess, continues to follow crew and guests as they sail around the Mediterranean, showcasing what life on the 3,600-guest ship is really like.
The cruise line states that The Cruise highlights how the crew work together to keep the operations running smoothly, including navigating the ship, preparing over 20,000 meals a day and servicing 1,800 cabins.

The behind-the-scenes programme, voiced by Downton Abbey’s Hugh Bonneville, has been made one of the UK’s leading factual documentary makers once again by Wild Pictures.
Wild Pictures has a reputation for creating access-led films with high production values that focus on major organisations and human interest stories.
Princess’ vice president for UK and Europe, Tony Roberts, has commented: “This documentary is such a great platform for the cruise industry to showcase what a fantastic experience a holiday at sea is. As well as highlighting stunning destinations and on board events it also gives viewers a sneak peek behind the scenes to show the hard work of the 1,400 strong crew.
“Two more series are due to air later this year with visits to Alaska and the Caribbean. These three series really do show some of the fantastic destinations holiday makers can visit with Princess Cruises.”
