NCL To Stop Charging For Speciality Restaurants

Norwegian Cruise Lines have today announced that all Asian style restaurants across their fleet will become complimentary as they invest in enhancing the dining experience for their guests.

Restaurants effected by the move will be;

Norwegian Breakaway & Norwegian Epic– Shanghai’s Noodle Bar

Norwegian Jade –Jasmine Garden

Norwegian Jewel– Chin Chin

Norwegian Gem – Orchid Garden

Norwegian Pearl – Lotus Garden

Norwegian Star– Giza

Norwegian Spirit– Shogun

Norwegian Dawn– Bamboo

Pride Of America– East Meets West

All of the above restaurants previously had cover charges and items priced ala carte on their menus. Norwegian Cruises announced that its Teppanyaki restaurants will continue to carry a per-guest customer charge and sushi venues across the fleet will still have a nominal a la carte pricing.

Room service charges have been upped however as a delivery to your room now costs $7.95 on board Norwegian Breakaway and $4.95 on board Norwegian Getaway where previously they only charged $3.95 per delivery from midnight to 5am and was free of charge in the day…could you argue that this will compensate for Norwegians generosity of offering complimentary dining?

Norwegian Cruise’s have said they’ll wait to see the reaction from guests before going ahead and rising the room service prices across all of its fleet.
