Carnival Cruise Line has just announced a multi-million dollar makeover for their vessel, Carnival Ecstasy.
The update includes new dining and beverage innovations and the news spaces will compliment the new ship’s wide range of on-board features, including the poolside RedFrog Rum Bar and BlueIguana Tequila Bar, a massive WaterWorks aqua park, a Serenity adults-only retreat, and a luxurious Spa Carnival health and wellness facility.
Carnival Ecstasy spent two weeks in a dry dock in Freeport, Bahamas from January 10-24th 2017 and is currently sailing out of Charleston, South Carolina. The brand added an array of new features to the ship that include:
–Alchemy Bar, a “cocktail pharmacy”-themed lounge with mixologists that will prescribe guests concoctions from various ingredients with creative monikers like Forty is the New Twenty and The Restorative Basil Drop.
– Guy’s Burger Joint, a poolside venue that is free of charge to passengers and has been developed in partnership with Food Network personality Guy Fieri. It will serve hand-crafted burgers and fresh-cut fries and all guests onboard can enjoy what it offers around a décor that celebrates the chef’s California roots and love of car culture.
–Cherry On Top, this is described as the “sweetest spot on board”. It will celebrate the joys of simple indulgences with bins of bulk candy, fun fanciful gifts and novelties, custom apparel and more.
–BlueIguana Cantina, another complimentary poolside venue in the form of a Mexican eatery where passengers can enjoy authentic, freshly made burritos and tacos on homemade tortillas, as well as an array of extravagant toppings and salsa bar.
Carnival Ecstasy’s schedule from Charleston encompasses year-round four to seven-day cruises visiting popular destinations throughout The Bahamas and Caribbean. The ship will also operate a 10-day Carnival Journeys Caribbean voyage round-trip from Charleston Nov. 5-15th 2017.
