Crystal Move to end Casino Discrimination

Get ready to place your bets because luxury cruise line Crystal Cruises has announced that passengers will be able to use on-board credit inside the casinos of both their ships.

This will be the first time a cruise line has ever allowed cruisers to use on-board credit that they may have had as part of a booking offer, rather than actual cash, in a casino.

From next month, cruise-goers can convert shipboard credits in the form of non-cashable slot vouchers or bespoke table game chips inside Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity’s casinos.

So long as passengers have enough credit in their account they will be able to purchase as many vouchers or chips as they wish.

Edie Rodriguez, president of Crystal Cruises, said: “Our guests are savvy travellers who relish a multitude of thrills, including trying their hands at the tables and slots.

“The new use of shipboard credit in our casinos is another benefit to Crystal’s all-inclusive experience and further enhances our onboard enrichment.”

Crystal Cruises’ newest move will come into effect on Crystal Symphony’s March 9th Singapore to Hong Kong voyage and Crystal Serenity’s March 13th Perth to Cape Town sailing.

The casinos onboard these ships have been elegantly designed and feature slot and video poker machines as well as games of Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Three Card Poker, and Ultimate Texas Hold’em.

Although slot vouchers and table game chips are not redeemable for cash, winners will be rewarded with cashable vouchers and chips. Those that go unused can be re-deposited to an onboard credit account that can be used towards other Crystal amenities, such as an aromatic spa treatment.

Will you be placing your bets with Crystal’s onboard credit?
