9 Reasons Why You Should Be Excited For Ovation Of The Seas

It’s less than a week until Ovation of the Seas launches onto the waves!

We’re excited to see her sail and we can’t wait to have a look around her and give you the inside scoop.

But why should you be excited about Royal Caribbean’s latest ship? What does she have to offer and what will she look like?

Well read on to find out!

The Bionic Bar

The first thing we’re excited about is the iconic Bionic Bar. Royal Caribbean ships are officially the only places you can find this robotic bar! Whether you fancy an old classic or your own personalised concoction, you can rely on two robotic arms rustling you up your drinks for the night (it can make two drinks per minute!)

The Dream Theatre Show

Get excited because Royal Caribbean is offering you a new show at the Royal Theatre which will seat a whopping 1,300 guests! Here you can watch a production called ‘The Dream’ which tells the story of a man who is visited by his departed soulmate in a special dream that encourages him to pursue his wildest dreams.

SeaPlex

The big kids inside all of us are incredibly excited at the prospect of being able to enjoy bumper cars at sea! As well as this, the Seaplex transforms into a roller disco in the evenings and also offers trapeze lessons. You can even grab a hotdog or snack from the SeaPlex doghouse, conveniently placed right next to all of this action.

Two70

Where else on a cruise ship can you sit and relax with pastries and coffee on comfortable lounge chairs watching the sea and shore go by… before sitting to enjoy a dazzling show with moving LED screens in the evening? This three-deck, multidimensional space, with floor-to-ceiling windows will host ‘Spectra’s Cabaret’, an electronic multimedia show with live performances! Our Specialist Cruise Consultant Nicola is also excited about Two70, read her blog about this here!

Top Notch Dining

Ovation brings you an answer to comfort food without the extra calories in the form of Devinly Decadence and if you’re looking for freshly cooked Italian dishes bursting with flavour, Jamie’s Italian won’t let you down. There are also plenty of complimentary dining venues to tickle your fancy like the American Icon Grill and the Grande if you’re feeling like dressing up!

Kung Fu Panda’s Noodle Bar

Exclusive to Ovation of the Seas, Jonny Rockets has been replaced with Kung Fu Panda’s noodle bar! The themed restaurant will give your taste buds a ‘Kung-Fu’ kick with its bold flavours and traditional Chinese desserts. Not to mention you can even strike a pose with Po and other characters for your favourite holiday snap!

RipCord by iFly

Ever wanted to experience sky diving but have been too scared? Face your fears here safely on-board Ovation with its skydiving simulator; you won’t ever have to leave the deck to feel what it’s like to fly! Head here first as it’s first come-first served! Our Cruise Consultant Mem is really excited about going on RipCord and so many other things aboard Ovation, read about it on his blog here!

The North Star

This is the place for the best views, there’s no doubt about it! This complimentary observation tower gives you sensational sights from a glass-walled capsule that is mounted on a rotating arm, and it’ll lift you up 300ft above sea level (leave any fear of heights at home for this astonishing experience!)

FlowRider and H20 Zone

That’s right, even on-board the ship you can learn to surf! With Ovation’s surf simulator you can choose out of two surfing styles: stand up traditional surfing and boogie boarding (we think we’ll choose the easiest!) It gets better as the FlowRider is included in your cruise fare, although you can have private lessons for an added cost. Royal Caribbean’s perfect water play area for kids comes in the form of the H2O zone where you can choose from sea cannons, winding slides, a gigantic drenching bucket and a multi-level jungle gym!
