It was great while it lasted

While the mediterranean was not having the best of weather my family and best friends had a few days in the lakes and how lucky we were with amazing weather.

We stayed at a place called Pooley Bridge which was sadly affected by the floods last year , the bridge had been replaced with a temporary one and you could see a few houses and business’s had not survived the devastating affects.
Still it is a lovely and very busy little village with some great little pubs.
We had some great days out and we walked miles visiting the waterfalls, Ambleside and Glenridding. We are lucky as all of the children are great at walking and its great to have them off their mobile phones and gadgets they usually have glued to them.
As colleagues and customers were on the brand new ship ‘ Harmony of the seas ‘ trying the zip wire we were also having our own fun doing the tree tops and zipwire at a great place called Brockholes.

Not quite sure what I had let myself in for?

Having a bit of a wobble

Coming down to land.

As you may remember from my recent posts I have a dog called Billy and he is the reason why we holiday in this country more. here he is with his brother.

We had loads of picnics as they weather was so great. Its so lovely to be able to enjoy a bit of great weather in this country.

That was just a little break for me before a busy few months ahead.Balancing work with House / Garden maintenance, my twin sister’s hen do , daughter’s prom as she has just finished her GCSE’s , also her 16th birthday ……

I have got a couple more little trips to fit in before I know it , it will be Christmas.
