How times have changed !!

Well this last week has been a mixture of working in between appointments with my daughter who has had her Prom . What an affair they are these days , I never had anything like this when I was at school ( sounding very old now ).
For those people who are reading this and have children that are still too leave secondary school, start saving now !!!
As my daughter said to me on the morning of the Prom ‘It feels like I’m getting married today ‘

I wish we had something like this , I don’t remember anything at all apart from my shirt being wrote on !!
All the girls looked stunning and the lads had made an effort too!

After this I am having a well deserved week off which will actually be my first full week off of this year .

My plans started off a few months ago, but have changed quite drastically now.
My daughter is holidaying with her best friends family in a villa in the Algarve so we decided to sneak a quick week away just myself and my husband. My sister has my son and the dog is going to a dog sitters.
Where to go ??? We went through cruise options , city breaks , Dubai or Abu Dhabi or to spy on my daughter in the Algarve.My husband who has been working away quite a bit in the last few months decided he would actually just like to go to Lanzarote for a week. I have been visiting Lanzarote for about 30 years as my family has property there and my brother in law is from there also. We love it and as my husband says we do relax as soon as we are there I suppose it’s a bit of a home from home really. After we booked our flights my parents asked if they could overlap for a few days those few days turned into a full week!! I have been joking though saying a week away with no children and at the age of 41 i’m going away with my parents!!
Ah well while you are reading this , this will be my view for the week

Won’t stop working as I will overlook the cruise terminal in Lanzarote so will be watching the ships coming in port !!
