A wedding on board Ventura!

Back in March 2016 I had an enquiry from a gentleman asking about getting married on board a cruise and some family & friends to go along too.

I love nothing more than arranging cruises and this was very special as they were getting married on board too. I have done weddings on board before so could help Mr Abrahams arrange their perfect day.

The cruises were not on sale at that time so we advance registered the details so we could book on the first day on sale so customers could get the exact cabins they wanted.  I was on at 8am on 7th April 2016 when the cruises went on sale to secure the cabins for the group.  There were 12 people in total so 6 cabins were booked to sail in September 2017.

Once we had the cabins booked I contacted P&O to request the date for the wedding that Mr Abrahams wanted, this was all very easy and smooth running.  I sent the wedding brochure to them so they could choose what they wanted for their special day.

The various packages are listed and you can choose what you prefer, then you have a wedding coordinator from P&O to assist you direct with your preferences.

We were soon on first name terms and I knew his number off by heart when he called.  I assisted Glenn & June throughout the process  and answered any questions they had.  He thanked me many times for my patience but it was always a pleasure to speak with Glenn & June and never had any issues.  Here is what he wrote on my blog back in July 2017:-

Thanks

It’s always lovely to receive good feedback as it shows I am doing my job correctly and keeping my customers happy.

Glenn has authorised for me to use his words and some photos from the wedding day – he has taken over my blog this week!

A couple of weeks before their departure I contacted Glenn to check all ok and ready to travel and they were very excited about the wedding and asked him to send me some photos as I’d really become part of this wedding planning & couldn’t wait to see the pictures, so here they are:-

The Happy Couple – Mr & Mrs Abrahams!

I have spoken with Glenn since they returned and said they all had a fantastic time and the wedding went very well – don’t they look lovely!

This was what Glenn said when he came home:-

Firstly we would like to say how helpful Barbara Hopley was, nothing was too much trouble for her, amazing.

We would also like to say anyone contemplating getting married on a cruise, go for it. The experience was unique and out of this world, it was just effortless everything done for you from the moment you get on the ship till your wedding day.

We strongly recommend it.

I give my permission for Barbara Hopley to blog this message.

Glenn Abrahams.

This was Glenn’s parents first cruise and they have booked again for next year as loved it.

I thank Mr & Mrs Abrahams (Glenn & June) for allowing me to share your story…

So if you planning on getting married – why not do it on a cruise ship?  For more information on getting married on board your cruise, click here:-
