Saga Sapphire….what a lovely ship!!

Pictures from around the Ship!!

Earlier this year I got to spend the day on-board Saga Sapphire and I have got to say I was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting a ship that was quite outdated and it wasn’t. I was really impressed with the decor and the feel of the ship. Whilst on-board we were treated to lunch and the food was incredible. Each course was cooked to perfection.

I learnt a lot about Ocean Cruises with Saga by going on-board and I included lots of information below about what they offer on-board and the fabulous itineraries they have on sale. First of all, Saga is exclusively for the over 50’s and is great for both solo and accompanied passengers. Saga has been popular with its customers for over 20 years. Saga have been fine tuning their experience for over 65 years.

Saga Cruises really offers the whole Package! So, What’s included in the price you ask? I have outlined all the inclusions below;

  • Return chauffeur service to the port, or free port parking
  • Travel insurance provided by Cigna Insurance Services (Europe) Ltd or a price reduction if not required
  • All meals, including speciality dining
  • A choice of wines with lunch and dinner
  • Gratuities
  • 24-hour room service
  • Free shuttle bus to take you to the town centre
  • Free Wifi

There are an array of venues to dine and relax with a drink on-board!! What’s great is that throughout the ship it is flexible dining and all restaurants are included in the fare, even the speciality restaurants. On Saga website it says ‘From world-class dishes of game, meat and fish to fine wines and a selection of irresistible desserts, we give our talented chefs free rein to shop, plan and prepare their own menus. This means food can go from the market to your table in a matter of hours.’ So dining on Saga is definitley an amazing culinary experience.

When looking for your next Cruise, how do you choose what type of cabin you would like? Do you look at the availability and prices, the size of the cabin or do you look at what amenities are included. When looking at the Cabins Saga have on offer you will not be disappointed. They have lot of double and single cabins available from Inside Cabins to Suites and they are impressive. From stocked bars to huge bath tubs I promise you’ll love the cabins on-board.
