Celebrity’s Seminar at Sea!!

If you are following my Facebook page ‘Ava’s Adventures at Cruise.co.uk’ you would have seen that from the 18th-23rd October I was on-board Celebrity Eclipse for their exclusive Seminar at Sea and it was really interesting and extremely fun. In just 3 short days of training I learnt so much more about Celebrity as a brand and about their ethos.

There are so many exciting things happening over the next few years with Celebrity and I think the most exciting of them all is the release of their new class of ships. Edge Class and they look incredible.

I have included lots of helpful tips and information below so you can really get a feel of Modern Luxury with Celebrity.

Dining

• Room Service – Whether you fancy breakfast in bed or an afternoon snack, you can order food straight to your cabin. There are food items that are delivered free of charge and there are also premium items that incur a charge.
• Moonlight Sonata Main Dining Room – This is the Main Dining Room on-board. It is free of charge and there are different dishes available each day.
• Oceanview Cafe – Buffet restaurant with seating inside and on the deck to the aft of the ship. Great selection of dishes from around the world.
• Mastgrill – The Mastgrill is free of charge and is open throughout the day above the pool. Here you can get burgers, hot dogs, chips and a selection of drinks.
• AquaSpa Cafe – This is located in the solarium and it serves healthy and well-balanced dishes free of charge.
• Sushi on Five – The food here is priced per item and they have a great selection of asian inspired dishes.

• Qsine – From iPad menus to Sushi Lollipops. This specialty restaurant will WOW you in so many ways. It has a cover charge of $50 and you will leave feeling very satisfied and full. The way the food and drinks are presented is incredible and the waiters are great at recommending the best items on the menu.
• Tuscan Grille – Authentic Italian style restaurant with pasta that’s made on-board. Only $45pp cover charge.
• Murano – A small and intimate modern french cuisine specialty restaurant with a cover charge of $50pp.
• Blu – An Exclusive Restaurant for Aqua Class Guests. I was fortunate to stay in Aqua Class in May and I ate at the Blu Restaurant. It has tasty and well balanced choices. Most of the tables are for 2 guests so that you can have an intimate dining experience.
• Luminae – This is an exclusive restaurant for Suite Guests. With amazing dishes available and all cooked to order. However, if you do fancy something else, the staff can also bring the menu from the main dining room.

Accommodation

Everyone knows that the best priced cabins on-board are interior cabins, then ocean view and so on. But the better cabin you get the more benefits you receive. If you decide to book Concierge Class and above you will receive priority embarkation/disembarkation, pillow menu, daily fresh fruit platter, welcome Blanc de Blanc sparkling wine, Daily delivery of afternoon savories and more. Plus I have included the extra benefits you will receive in each grade below;

• Concierge Class – Priority selection of Dining time, Exclusive embarkation day lunch, Destination Seminar, Exclusive pre-departure lounge
• Aqua Class – Complimentary access to the Persian Garden & Relaxation Room, A Personal Spa Concierge to arrange Canyon Ranch SpaClub treatments, Exclusive access to the Blu restaurant & an aromatherapy diffuser.
• Sky Suites & above  – Luminae-private restaurant, Michael’s Club-exclusive lounge, Personal butler service, Luxury Bulgari bath amenities & plush robes, Priority Tender Service, In-suite breakfast, lunch & dinner, Reserved theatre seating on Evening Chic nights & Fresh Flowers.

Entertainment

Whilst we were on-board we were lucky enough to watch ‘Rock City’ and prior to that we had an exclusive back stage tour which was great. We saw where the performers get ready including the costumes and props. Having seen back stage before the show made the show even more great. The theatre on-board was great, you can see the stage clearly from every seat, make sure you are early though so you can get a seat as the shows are very popular. My favourite activity on-board is definitely the silent Disco. It is so much fun and everyone gets involved. Check out more entertainment here.

Kids Clubs

From the Fun factory for the younger ones to the X club for teens. Celebrity has a range of activities for all ages of children. They also have fun activities that the whole family can participate in such as ‘Family tour challenges’ and ‘Anturus adventures through science’. I was really impressed with the family facilities on-board and there were so many more than I realized.
