A Culinary Experience with APT and Luke Nguyen!!

On September 5th I had the opportunity to travel to Waitrose Cooking School In London to join other Travel Agents in a Vietnamese Cooking Class with Masterchef Australia Host Luke Nguyen and APT River Cruising.

It was a great night, first we had a meet & greet with Luke Nguyen, his brother Lewis and his partner Lin, and of course all of the APT Representatives. We then had a drinks reception where the Prosecco was flowing. It was Waitrose Prosecco and it was delightful. We then proceeded to the studio area in which we had a question & Answer session with Luke. He told us about how he became the Chef he is today and how he became APT’s Ambassador. After this, Luke taught us how to make the starter and we then proceeded to make the starter. Once everyone had finished making their starters, we headed back into the studio and Luke showed us how to make the main dish. This was harder to make but it was really fun. Next, it was time to eat, and the food was delicious. To finish off the evening, we enjoyed chocolate cake and had a group photo.

After this incredible evening, I definitely want to do a River Cruise with APT, their experiences sound amazing and completely different to anyone else. Whilst in Vietnam, they get to have a meal in Luke Nguyen’s Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City. I have been to the South of Vietnam several times and it is a great destination.

We learnt how to make 2 great Vietnamese dishes, they are; Rice Paper Rolls & Lemongrass Chilli Chicken. We also got to take home an APT Apron & Pen. But the most exciting thing that we got to take home was a signed copy of one of Luke’s Cooking books. I will be experimenting with all the amazing recipes inside.
