All aboard the Adonia…..

adonia

In 2015 we all said a sad farewell to the very much loved P&O Adonia ship.

She was leaving our shores to set sail over to join Fathom cruises which enabled guests on-board to do some voluntary work and help out countries in need and to really see how tourism impacted on the local environment.

Well after her good work has been done Carnival have now announced that she back in town looking brighter and better than ever.

A nice refurb with the addition of Olly smiths Glass house , an outdoor Cinema and new furnishings and brighter lighting will see the Adonia ready to join the fleet again back out of Southampton.

The small ship lovers of the cruising world are over the moon with this and I have already taken a pre-registration for a sailing in 2017 to book tomorrow when she officially goes on sale.

There will be a wide selection of itineraries to choose from and the major appeal of this ship for most is that the ship can get into smaller ports as she is more petite. This allows P&O to offer more unusual ports  , perfect for those that are bored of the same places and fancy trying somewhere new.

Whatever you fancy the Caribbean or Europe , the main attraction will be to sail on the Adonia again and experience the small ship comfort and hospitality she has to offer once on-board.

I  have sailed on huge ships like the Allure out of Miami , the Independence out of Southampton right down to the Balmoral with Freds and an explorer ship with Silverseas so have been lucky enough to experience both types of cruising.

If you’ve not tried a small ship experience before then the Adonia would be the perfect choice with  the fantatstic food they have onboard and the friendly staff not to mention offering the lowest charge of tips at sea. The drinks onboard are very reasonable as well being sterling onboard and no heavy service charge to pay.

If you would be interested in sampling small ship cruising then give me a call and I can let you know more information on prices and itineraries , ready for her going on sale tomorrow.
