Can Eu Believe it !!!

Well who would of thought it, we’ve only gone and left the Eu !!!! I really can’t believe it’s actually happened and whether you were in, out, shaking it all about, it will mean big changes for all us Brits.

I think we are so lucky to live in a country where we are able to have a say in our future and to live in a democracy that gives us the right to have a choice and make our voices heard.

I took my son along to the polling station with me yesterday and we had a very interesting political debate about it all in the car journey up there and he was quite interested to see how it all works. His 9 by the way, but he had some good points!!!

Driving to work this morning and hearing the news that the prime minister has resigned, it did make me feel a sense of nervousness at what will happen over the next few coming months and will people still be wanting to book their holidays with me in light of the euro and currency drops and changes.

Will this mean that it’s going to be more expensive for you to take a cruise holiday and will people sit tight now and keep their savings rather than splash out on holidays. The truth is I don’t know and quite frankly neither do the politicians only time will tell.

ABTA issued a statement to say: “Once the UK formally notifies the EU of its intention to leave, the remaining Member States will have up to two years to offer the UK a deal for a future trading relationship. This period can also be extended if all parties agree. Until this process is resolved, everything will remain as it is now.”

So in other words, not just yet!

Whilst it is unknown what the effects will be long term, in the short term the cost of getting your Euros for a holiday has gone up due to the pound dropping.

My advice, Lots of high street currency traders allow you to set up alerts to notify you when the pound becomes stronger against the Euro. Set up some of these alerts so that when the pound recovers you can go and purchase some Euros for your holiday!” 

Whatever happens I will be here selling cruises and giving you the best deals and prices possible , and that’s a promise…not a politician promise either !!!
